يتأسّسُ نسق ملا صدرا المِتافيزيقي (الحكمة المتعالية) على أصالة الوجود واعتبارية الماهية. وفي تبيانها لهذا المبدإ، تلفت هذه الدراسة، إلى “مغالطة مشهورة” مفادُها الخلط بين الذهن والواقع الخارجي والأحكام المرتبطة بهما. ثمّ تنتقل لتستعرض خلفيّة تبلور المبدإ المذكور والأدلّة الشاهدة عليه في تفصيلٍ لكامل حدودِ المشكلة وما يترتّب عليها من تفسيراتٍ أخذت مناحي الإفراط أو التفريط.

Mulla Sadra’s metaphysical system (Transcendental Theosophy) is built upon the fundamentality of existence and the subjectivity of quiddity. In its explanation of this principle, this study points to a ‘common error’, whereby the mind and external reality, along with their properties, are confused. It then proceeds to explore the evolvement of the said principle, and its substantiation in an exposition of the borders of the issue and the ensuing problems which tend to lie in an extreme or another.
