فرّق الكاتب في بحثه بين الأخلاق الفوقيّة Meta Ethics والأخلاق المعياريّة Normative Ethics، واستعان بنصوص مسكويه ليعرض رؤيته حول فلسفة الأخلاق Philosophical Ethics والغاية منها، مضافًا إلى مقاربة رؤية سقراط وأفلاطون لهذا الموضوع. وتوقّف عند مفاهيم أخلاقيات مسكويه، وهي: ثنائيّة النفس والجسد، ومحوريّة النفس وجوهريّتها وخلودها في مسيرة الإنسان التكامليّة، ومفهوم اللذة، ومفهوم الفضيلة، وأنّ الهدف النهائي من موضوع فلسفة الأخلاق هو سعادة الإنسان النهائيّة، والتي هي سعادة فكرية أو روحية أو إلهية.

In his paper, the author distinguishes between Meta-ethics and Normative ethics. Drawing on Miskawayh’s works, he presents his perspective on Ethical Philosophy and its purpose. Additionally, he explores the pertinent views of Socrates and Plato. He delves further into the concepts of Miskawayh’s ethics such as: the duality of the soul and the body; the centrality, substantiality and immortality of the soul in the human’s path of perfection; the concept of pleasure; the concept of virte; and the concept that the ultimate goal of the subject of the philosophy of ethics is the ultimate happiness of man, which is intellectual, spiritual or divine happiness.
